Brought up in a musical family, Dacre "The Baron" Pecks first paid gig was at the age of ten, singing in the school choir at the Theatre Royal in Glasgow. This experience gave Dacre the stage bug and he has contrived to perform on the stage in any way shape or form ever since. His early influences were 'Prog Rock'- Rush, Genesis, Yes, Queen - and this moulded his drumming style and the type of bands he spent many years gigging and recording with. After a number of years away from the music scene to raise a family, the last ten years has seen Dacre forge ahead with his career in music, becoming a full-time musician and freelance music tutor. He works with a project delivering music workshops to 11-19 year olds in Community Education Centres, Pupil Referral Units and local schools. Latterly, Dacre has been involved with another initiative, working with kids and vulnerable adults with learning difficulties - Teaching them how to ROCK!!
Like any jobbing musician Dacre has, at times, had to spread himself thin, but joining the UK Beach Boys last year has been his biggest challenge to date! He quotes: "The intricacies and complexities of their writings is mind-blowing ...............this has to be the most satisfying musical experience ever!"
